We're Home

Sorry peeps, I can't believe I never mentioned how big she was. Mckinley was 7 lbs 13 oz and 19 inches long. A perfect size!
.

We came home last night and had our first night at home. Mckinley actually did well, a lot better than me. I was so nervous and freaked out about everything that I couldn't get to sleep, even though she was sleeping. I fed her a few times and then I finally ended up putting her in bed with me and we both slept great together.
.
Leaving the hospital. I just put on the same outfit I came in, my maternity jeans and shirt. It was weird to see how differently they fit.. Weird in a very good way.
.
We had some pretty awesome balloons and a welcome home sign from some of Brandon's family. Thanks guys! The sign in our room was awesome too. It said Happy Mother's Day Mom. It fell down in the middle of the night and totally freaked us out.
.
Thanks to everyone who came to visit us in the hospital. Don't feel bad if you didn't make it, we accept visitors at home too!

YAY for babies! I totally love that you guys are home already. Remember that YOu are the only one that knows your child. Do what you feel is right. WTG!!!

I'm like you. I get a little nervous to bring my babies home. It's nice in the hospital where I have professionals checking on my baby. It's gotten easier with each kid, but still kinda scary. I don't know how some of these moms do it that go to birthing centers and then a couple hours later go home with their new baby. I definetly like the comfort of professionals around for a couple days.
I hope you recover quickly. That's the worst part. You want to be able to care for your new little baby, but you have to take care of yourself too. Keep all the updates coming! I love em!!!

She's so darling! I thought about stopping by in the hospital but knew that your sleep was valuable, especially after your long labor. So, perhaps I can stop by in the next week or two!

I'm glad you all are home and doing well. She sure is a cutie! I hope she'll be a good little sleeper for you. I mean, all newborns have to wake to eat, but it makes such a difference if they go right back to sleep... and maybe go an extra hour or two. :)
