Mckinley

What? Another post about Mckinley? Listen people, I'm sorry, but seriously nothing else goes on in our lives except watching this girl do what she does: grow up! I am thinking about posting Mckinley things on another blog but I worry that this blog will quickly disapper into cyberspace because there won't be anything to post on it.

So, for now, you will have to live with some more pictures of and ramblings about Mckinley.

So I gave her some formula the other day just for fun (and because it was expiring) and the bottles were so small she could hold them herself. How cute is that?!!

Later that night just laying on my bed feeding herself. I am so lucky that she will go back and forth from formula to the "real stuff" (trying to avoid using certain words here) without blinking an eye.

Mckinley laying with her Uncle Lincoln during General Conference. She is not a cuddler (sniff sniff) and NEVER does this. You could actually feel the jealousy coming from Brandon. Lincoln, we hope you enjoyed it!

Look at her supporting herself next to the couch. This last growth spurt or development spurt or whatever you want to call it has been HUGE! She seriously seems so grown up. It's crazy and awesome and we just can't get enough!

Last week I met up with 2 of my friends at the park to hang out. We missed you Emily!
We went early in the morning which was good because the ducks were actually hungry! It was fun feeding them. I never do because we always go to the park later in the day when a bazzilion people have already thrown way too much bread at them. It's crazy to think that next year this will be Mckinley running around (or at least waddling hopefully) feeding the ducks herself.
Mckinley enjoying her first swing ride.

Look at that cute girl after her bath. She has the cutest little bunny rabbit bath towel from her long lost aunt and uncle.

Last night after her rice cereal we decided to try out peas. Yes, Mckinley is actually leaning forward to take a bite of peas!! I thought it might be too good to be true, and I was right. I tried feeding them to her again this morning and she started gagging on them after a few bites. Can't say I blame her. Those things look disgusting. I'll try some home made ones later and see if she likes those.

So that's about it for now. Sorry for so much baby stuff, but hey, there are a few pictures of me and Brandon here and there.

cute pics Steph! Mckinley looks so old standing next to the couch! And, not sure if you've even started Mckinley on fruits yet, but one of the only ways we got Logan to eat peas (and lots of other not-so-yummy foods) was by mixing it with apple sauce. Applesauce was his best friend. :-)

I can't believe how big she seems! Holly was like that too - would nurse, drink formula, eat baby food, anything was fine with her! So did you warm up the peas for her? If they were cold I'm sure they were yucky...my kids always like things warmed up & mixed with rice cereal. Now that you are spoon feeding you won't be able to stop...exciting with your first, but I'm not going to rush it with Bryce :)

Don't apologize for posting about your sweet baby. Isn't this blog about your life? And she is your life! If anyone has a problem with it then they should just move on. My blog is mostly about my kids because that's what's happening in my life right now. It's all good! She is a quick little learner and so cute!

she is so adorable! I'd be worried about you if you weren't posting about your sweet, adorable and well loved little girl.
