3 Months

These babies are three months old today! Time is flying and they are getting so much more interactive and playful, it's crazy how fast it happens.
There is a mirror on this toy that they could see themselves in and they were transfixed!
Okay Mckinley is the cutest little thing ever. She asks to wear a dress anytime she wants to dance. We borrowed the movie Enchanted from my cousin the other day and she has watched it every day, more than once some days, since then. She was dancing to the closing credits when I took this picture. She is so fun. She even danced in the aisle at Church the other day during the closing song by the choir. Everyone around us loved it.
She got two puzzles for Christmas and if we do the border of them she can fill in the inside all by herself. It blows me away how smart she is. Love her to death! Update: later that evening after I wrote this post she sat down and did the puzzles all by herself and now she does them multiple times a day. Holy cow she is so smart!

Best Christmas EVER!

Okay seriously this was the best Christmas ever!!! I'm sure they will keep getting more and more fun as our kids get older, but up till now, this was the best one yet.

Let's start with Christmas Eve.

Brandon always had one of these chocolate advent calendars (although he never knew they were called advent calendars till this year) growing up so he really wanted Mckinley to have one. She loved opening her chocolate every day.

So on Christmas Eve Brandon told me he needed to go into work for a little bit and that he wanted to do some shopping. I told him I would just go spend the day at my mom's and hang out with Amy before she flew back to Arizona on Christmas Day. So I went over there and spent the entire day just hanging out and helping with the dinner. My mom always does a big dinner on Christmas Eve. They have been out of the country for the last 3 Christmases in a row so I was excited to have this dinner again. Man, was it crammed, but the food was amazing.

Mckinley and Bryce.

Brandon came to the dinner a little late and when I got home, I found out why! Mind you, I didn't find out for quite a while. We came home, fed the babies, got them ready for bed and stuff, and I went in our room to put Tyler in the pack n play, got him all settled, and turned around to find this:

A new bed! We have been sleeping on a Queen bed with no headboard or anything for the last 6 years and I have always wanted bedroom furniture and of course a King bed would be nice. Well, Brandon had been planning this surprise for me and bought us a new mattress and everything. What an upgrade! I am so excited about it! He spent the whole day putting it together. It was the best surprise since he surprised me with our van a few months ago. Man, he is good at surprises. So yeah, pretty much right there this was already the best Christmas ever.

Family shot before heading to bed.

We wanted to start a new Christmas Eve tradition of watching a movie before bed. We were all excited for Mckinley to sleep in our bed with us (especially with the extra room) but after the movie she said she wanted to sleep in her own bed. She usually gets up around 4 or 5 and comes to our room and sleeps with us the rest of the night but she stayed in her bed the whole night, which was nice because we wanted to see her reaction when she saw her presents.

And after:

So the babies both slept the entire night (Merry Christmas to us, thanks babies!). They woke up around 7 so I was out in the living room feeding them and I told Brandon to come out because I knew Mckinley would wake up while we were out there. She came out a little bit later and just said Good Morning Mom and Dad! in the cutest voice ever and didn't even notice the presents. We had to point out to her that Santa came and brought presents and she looked over and said yep, and a motorcycle! Ha ha. She didn't run over to open her presents or anything. She is just such an angel.

So I told Brandon to go show her her stocking. They dumped it out and she started grouping all the same candy together and putting them in piles. She didn't even ask for any of it. She was just so pleasant and so cute.

We finally went over and unwrapped presents. She unwrapped each one so carefully and was so excited with hat was inside. When she opened her dollar store Dora puzzle she said Oh my gosh! It's Dora! We would ask her if she wanted to open another present and she would say let's open one for Tyler or let's open one for Kallie. We didn't have any presents for those guys but we would just tell her the next present was for them.

She loved her my little ponies which were the only thing she asked Santa for. This is her just before we saw Santa. She was so cute and sat on his lap and nestled right in to his chest. Not scared at all.

 Cute Christmas jammies.

After presents we made the most delicious breakfast ever. I saw these cute reindeer pancakes on my cousin's blog so we made them. Super easy and so cute.

Mckinley of course requested a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse pancake so I still made her one of those.

Mmmm. Breakfast was so good.

What is more fun than cute twin matching Christmas outfits?

These babies are seriously so much fun I can hardly stand it.

We hooked the computer up to the new TV we got for Ross and Karen and skyped with Lincoln. It was pretty cool. He's about to hit his year mark in a few weeks.

We spent almost all of Christmas Day over at Brandon's parents' house. Then today, on Boxing Day we went to the Church like we do every year and made scones and just played around. It's not my favorite tradition, but it's tradition, so we do it anyway.

Brandon's parents gave us a Blendtec for Christmas which is pretty much the coolest gift ever! I am so excited about it. We just made a green smoothie a little bit ago that was sooo good. Can't wait to make soups and ice cream and whatever other yummy things this blender can do.

Kallie has so much personality now and is smiling a ton! She is so stinking cute and such an angel.

Earlier today she was totally wrapping her arms and legs around Brandon's arm. So cute! We are having such a great holiday weekend and Brandon and I are both dreading him going back to work tomorrow.

Blessing Day

I'm used to blogger uploading your pictures backwards so I guess the blessing pictures will just be at the end of this post. This makes it chronologically correct anyway (is that even a word?).

I gave Mckinley an orange today and a minute later she said look Mom, it's a train! Oh, is she cute.

Cute cute babies. Tyler is so smiley. Kallie makes you work for it.

Mckinley is in an awesome cheesy grin stage.

These babies are growing up! This toy already entertains them. It amazes me how fast they grow.

I've been trying to get pictures that show how much bigger Tyler is than Kallie, but the pictures don't do it justice. You have to see it in person.

I love matching outfits!

Here are the babes after Church last week. They wore cute Sunday outfits and then we never even got them out of their car seats. And after we came home, they slept for hour in there and went 6 hours in between feedings. What angels!

Love this. Mckinley was too fixed on the TV to look at the camera, but Tyler loves to smile.

Cute Christmas shirt she got from her cousin.

There's a Kallie smile.

I had to take some more pictures of them in the bathtub to see how big they are getting. To see them when they were smaller in the tub, look here.

We had the funnest weekend this week with Brandon's siblings who were in from out of town. This picture was from Friday night. We stayed at his parents' house till really late and Mckinley never fell asleep. She went to sleep at 1:00 a.m. that night.

On Saturday it was snowing outside and Mckinley said Dad! Let's go out and catch the snow. She wanted to catch snowflakes on her tongue. How cute is that?

Love!

Okay, here we are to the blessing yesterday. We blessed the twins at Church and everyone from both of our families was able to be there. It was awesome. Such a great day. Brandon gave beautiful blessings that I need to get typed up soon.

Here are the babies in their car seats with the softest most perfect blessing blankets ever, ready to go to Church.

A few pictures we took before we headed out.

Tyler was able to wear the same outfit Brandon was blessed in as a baby! (If I had more time, I'd search through pictures to find the one of Brandon in this outfit.) Yes, it had lace on it. But it was perfect.

Kallie wore a borrowed crocheted dress that was beautiful.

My new favorite picture:

See Tyler? Always so happy!

I don't think Kallie is a big fan of having her picture taken.

Family shot. Love it!

I didn't even know Brandon took this picture but I love it.

This was seriously such an amazing weekend. I absolutely love Christmas time for all of the family get togethers. Mckinley is so cute this year with Christmas, she knows who Santa is and knows that he brings presents. We have an elf on the shelf named Buddy and she thinks it's fun to see when he moves around the house. When you ask her what she wants from Santa she just says presents. So easy to please! I love this age. Okay, I love every age. But seriously, Mckinley is a dream. She is such a good child, such a great big sister, so smart and so fun. She loves to sing the ABC song, Monkeys jumping on the bed, twinkle star, santa clause is coming to town, and rock a bye baby. She loves to dance around the room and is still totally obsessed with her stuffed animals.
