Summer Pics

Just a few pictures that are too cute not to post.

Kallie has been choosing her own clothes a lot lately which usually results in outfits like this one.

Being silly.

Brandon putting our flat top griddle to good use.

We still have lots of this happening. We had home teachers come over on Sunday for the first time in a long time and Kallie ran off on her own, changed her clothes, and fell asleep in her closet. Ha ha ha.

We had the most amazing weather on Monday so I went to the park in the morning with my friends and then we went again for FHE that night. We are soaking up every minute of summer and just loving it!

We took a fun walk on the Provo River trail and threw rocks in the water. We saw a ton of huge fish hanging out in one spot that was really cool.

Went to the Lehi splash pad one day with my sister and mom. It was sooooo crowded within minutes of opening. And zero natural shade. First and last time we will go there.

Baby ducks at Nielsen's Grove! One of my favorite things.

Kids watching TV in mom and dad's room.

We had a really fun BBQ at Blake and Kim's one night. Their yard is 100% heaven for little kids.

Cute poses at Downeast while Mom shops.

Almost 28 weeks pregnant.

Camp out in Grandpa and Marmee's backyard!! The kids were soooo excited and had looked forward to this for at least a month.

I slept inside and Brandon braved the crowded tent to protect the kids.

They were all smiles in the morning and were just so happy that they got to sleep out in a tent!

Our neighborhood does a really fun 24th of July party every year. The kids had a blast.

Brandon walked with the kids in the Temple to Temple 5k while I drove around in the van and just met them at the end.

A fun family picnic at the splash pad one day. Jason taught the kids how to play Red Rover. Talk about bringing back childhood memories!

Parade

Sunday July 3rd I was sick in bed all day with a weird stomach bug so Brandon took the kids to church alone and then later took them to his parents for another family dinner. It actually felt pretty nice to just sleep the day away. And the girls got festive nails painted while they were gone!

Monday morning we got up and headed to the parade as early as we could. I am so grateful that Ross saves such great seats for us every year and provides drinks and snacks. It really makes the parade fun! We sat in a different spot this year and were shaded by a building the entire time and it was so nice.

We went to Burger King afterwards for lunch. The kids were being so silly and Kallie was trying to kiss Tyler over and over.

Then we headed to Sonic to get the kids' free ice cream cones from the library reading program.

We got together again with family that night for pizza and just hung out and played games outside and then did fireworks. It was such a perfect summer night!

Balloon Festival

I love that the 4th of July was on a Monday this year and we got to celebrate it over the entire weekend. Friday, July 1st we woke up bright and early to go see the hot air balloons. I'm pretty sure we haven't missed this once over the last 10 years. It is probably my very favorite tradition.

We got there so early that the kids were cold at first. And I forgot poor Kallie's shoes and we had to wait till Shannon could bring them to us. So nice that we didn't have to drive back home though!

Tyler was a little scared of the noise and the fire but I think they all loved it for the most part.

Mckinley took this picture.

After the balloons we went home for a bit and then headed out to Mckinley's last day of swim lessons. She had so much fun and learned so much and most importantly gained so much confidence in the pool. It was so worth it! Here she is with her class and her teacher.

About to do a knee dive. She also did a couple standing dives off the side of the pool.

If this picture doesn't scream confidence, I don't know what does! She jumped off the diving board and then just swam the full length of the pool, just for fun when her teacher wasn't even near her. She did such a great job! And now all she wants is to go swimming somewhere where she can practice diving and swimming. We took the kids to the Provo Rec Center but there wasn't a single spot she could practice a dive or swimming in general so it was really disappointing.

The girls at the Provo Rec.

On Saturday we went and saw Finding Dori with a lot of Brandon's family. It was actually a little boring. Kallie fell asleep at the end. How cute!

That evening we went to Brandon's parents' house for dinner and then randomly Brandon's dad got us last minute free tickets to the Stadium of Fire, and offered to watch the kids! Awesome! We got there about half way through, right when Tim McGraw was about to start. It was so good and just so fun to be there.

Ross and Karen (luckily with the help of Chris, Linda, Zach, and Chelsea) watched 12 kids while a bunch of us were at the Stadium of Fire. They took all the kids over to Westridge park to watch the fireworks.
