Mckinley's First Youth Conference and Easter 2024

We went up to Aspen Grove for a quick one night youth conference with our ward. It was Mckinley's first youth conference. The scenery was incredible!

The accommodations were amazing. We had so much fun in such a short time!

Mckinley also experienced her first dance, hating it at first and loving it by the end. Didn't dance with any boys.

Cross country skiing was kind of terrible. The path was super icy and everyone fell a million times. Made for good memories though, and beautiful pictures.

We did an awesome Book of Mormon activity that all the kids loved.

Rachael surprised us hiding in this cupboard! I was up most of the night cleaning up Kim Beadle's throw up and driving her home with Becca. It was very memorable.

Lincoln introduced us to magic puzzles and let us borrow his. It was so fun!

Mckinley had her first track meet. She got assigned the 400 and then the 800, back to back. It was brutal.

She did amazing in the 400, and then had to quit the 800 with a terrible side ache. We are so proud of all she's done!

Mckinley is finally taking her first art class in junior high. They had to do a portrait of someone. She chose Jennifer Lawrence. And holy cow, this girl is talented!!!

Ava is doing activity days this year and loving it!

Ava's class easter egg hunt. Last party of the year for us room moms! Yay!!! The end is in sight.

We went to the Vineyard easter egg hunt and then had breakfast at Dallin and Shellee's.

Mckinley found these cute bunny pancakes online so we made them for Easter.

And made our traditional easter nest cookies. So yummy! It was different this Easter, having already done the egg hunt two weeks prior at Ross and Karen's. We did Holy Week readings/videos every night the week leading up to Easter and it was so meaningful and fun! We all loved it.

March 2024

Kristen's baby blessing day.

The strange flower that finally grew. Took like 2 months.

Amy came to town so we spent a little bit of time with them, went to the BYU museum of art because the Bean Museum had the road shut down.

And the BYU dinosaur museum.

Mckinley participated in NHD for the second year in a row. She did a website this time on slavery ending. She was a little disappointed to not move on to state, but hey, we may never have to do this again! Such a big project. She did it 100% on her own this year. She is such an amazing student!

Chandra's family came in to town. We went to the movies to see....something. I can't even remember now.

For teenager bingo the kids all went out to eat together at Brick Oven. Such a nice thing for Ross and Karen to do for them. They always have a good time!

Mckinley joined her friends for a karaoke song at young womens.

Ross took all the grandkids to the temple. I sat and watched. It took forever, even with an appointment.

Ava got to have a cousin sleepover with the girls.

Cute cousins.

Cute Jackson!

Green pancakes for St. Patrick's Day.

Ross and Karen decided to do their Easter egg hunt two weeks early, on St. Patrick's Day, since Tara and Chandra were both in town.

We lucked out with a warm day after a really cold week!

The new confetti easter egg tradition that we wish wouldn't continue year after year.

Cuties Grayson and Jackson.
