Golfing and stuff

I got the pictures from Brandon's phone uploaded so I thought I would blog about some of this stuff.

Another one of my favorite traditions is when we go to Cascade golf for the Freedom Festival BBQ/Family night golf. We do it every year and it's always hot but so much fun.

This year we were lucky enough to get tickets to the Freedom Festival Gala dinner. Mckinley got to come with us and she was so excited to wear a pretty dress. She did really well, even when the program went super super long. We didn't get home till 10:30 p.m.

The food was amazing.

Mckinley totally curled up on Brandon's chest and went to sleep. So awesome!!

One day we let Mckinley watch How to Train Your Dragon (her VERY favorite movie) on Jason's computer at work while Brandon and I got some things done at the office. Now every time we go see Brandon at his office she says she wants to watch Dragons on Jason's "puter."

Moving in to a new house has sent us on a couple trips to Home Depot. Mckinley had a blast this last time riding in the big cart.

I feel like I need to write some of the random cute things Mckinley does or says but then when I sit down to write them, I have a hard time thinking of them.

She is the best little 2 year old anyone could ask for. She is extremely obedient. We have such a blast doing everything with her. She is absolutely obsessed with her Dragons movie and wants to watch it every day. She knows the main characters names (Hiccup, Astrid, and Toothless). She is also obsessed with chewing gum. She is really good at it and doesn't swallow it anymore. She always spits it out if we offer her anything to eat, even when we forget she had gum in her mouth. She is not really getting the potty training thing. I don't think she realizes when she pees, whether she's wearing a diaper, sitting on the potty, wearing underwear, or buck naked. She will pee and I don't think she even knows she did it. So this may take a while...

She says efelant for elephant. She knows all her alphabet letters, most of her numbers, all shapes, colors, and tons of animals. She loves swimming even though we don't hardly ever go. We put her swimming suit on her tonight and let her take a bath in our big tub and she thought she went swimming. She knows the difference between boys and girls, she knows her mom and dad's names, and Brandon's parents' first names.

She is so good at sleeping in her big bed and doesn't get out, even when she wakes up. She just waits for us to come get her. She can put her own shoes on and gets them on the right feet every time. She loves to yell cheese when you take her picture but often doesn't hold the smile long enough to catch it on camera. She is obsessed with her cousins and wants to see them every day. She loves dresses and loves twirling around in them and dancing. She runs everywhere she goes. She wants to eat a peanut butter and jam sandwich every day. She says samooch for sandwich and her lips get all puckered up for the "ch" at the end of the word.

Okay, I doubt anyone besides Brandon even read all of that. I could go on, but I'll stop for now. We just love her to death and are so excited to have two more babies to love in just a few months!

Hot Air Balloons

Waking up to see the hot air balloons is by far my favorite thing about the 4th of July. We got up bright and early this morning to go. I can't believe this is Mckinley's third year in a row.

Still a little tired...

I think the pig was her favorite. It's the one she talked about most after anyway.

I love watching her watch the balloons go up.

This year was by far the most exciting. First of all, my neice Haley got to ride up in a balloon with Brandon's dad. I totally want to do that some day!

The other part that made it awesome was just the amazing weather. A lot of the balloons made it back to the field to participate in the competition. Usually none of them or maybe just one or two make it back. But it was a lot more exciting this year and just really fun to watch.

A few pics

Look at these cute girls in their matching dresses.

Mckinley and I went swimming at the PG pool the other day with my mom and dad and some of Mckinley's cousins. She had a blast and didn't want to get out of the pool.

She loved the slide and would have gone on it over and over but my pregnant body could only walk her up those stairs for two rides.

We have been doing a little of this lately....she is off to a good start, let's hope she can keep going. I would love to NOT deal with three kids in diapers. :)

I'm back

Well, I'm back. And it's about time. We didn't get internet hooked up until yesterday so I really couldn't do much until then. But there is a lot to update. Life in the new house is good. We are loving it. My camera absolutely sucks at taking indoor pictures, so these look like they were taken on an old school cell phone, but it's all I have for now.

The kitchen

Family Room

The twins' future room.

Mckinley liked the airplanes so much that we decided to let her have that room, even though it's obviously meant for a boy. She loves it. :)
Master Bathroom

Tub in the master.

We live right down the street from two of Brandon's brothers. Mckinley has loved seeing Brynlee so much. This is the two of them eating pizza the night we moved in.

The day after we moved in was our 6 year anniversary. This is the only picture we got of us that day. :) We enjoyed spending the day unpacking and then going out to dinner at night.

We got a new kitchen table and chairs and still haven't assembled all the chairs yet. A work in progress. :)

Mckinley has been sleeping in a big girl bed ever since we moved and she loves it. She is so good at staying in it and when she wakes up in the morning or from her nap she just stays in there and yells for us till we come get her.

There are a few things we came across in the move that Mckinley is so excited about. First one is this dress from her aunt Shellee that fits her perfectly now. She wore it for a few days straight.

Then there's these Minnie Mouse boots I bought for her when I was pregnant. They are still two sizes too big but she loves putting them on and wearing them all around the house.

We have enjoyed watching Brandon's softball games this summer. Mckinley gets excited because she gets to see "every cousins."

These girls had a blast pushing around their own shopping carts with us in the store. We made a quick trip to get some food for my mom and dad before they got home from China.

Another huge thing that's happened is that I'm basically not working anymore. It's weird, but so so nice! I love it. I did go to one last work summer party though at the Lindon pool. I was so excited to take Mckinley swimming for the first time this year. Too bad the weather was horrible! It was windy and so cold!

She had a good time anyway though and now I can't wait to take her swimming again. If it wasn't such a hassle...

Here's my big belly at 24 weeks. Miracle of all miracles, my morning sickness went away between 20 and 21 weeks and I am off all my nausea meds and not throwing up. It is amazing! Although the whole not throwing up thing is inviting the weight gain, and fast. All I want is two healthy babies though, so I'll do whatever I need to.

So, like I said earlier, my parents came home from China. Yay!!! How do I not have a picture of Mckinley with them? Oops. I'll have to take one soon. Anyway, we had a girls lunch at Brick Oven and after we ate we sat and talked and Mckinley totally zonked out in my arms. That NEVER happens. It was so awesome. She got super heavy but I enjoyed every minute of it anyway. It was the best thing ever.

We have done tons of fun stuff this summer already. I absolutely love June and July. There is so much going on! We enjoyed a picnic at BYU while they had the Carillon Bell Concert.

Mckinley showing Grandpa how to use his iPhone. Ha ha ha.

We are loving life right now and are so excited to welcome these sweet little twins into our family.

We Moved!

This last weekend we spent our 6 year anniversary moving into our new house! An awesome way to celebrate if you ask me. We are all unpacked and are absolutely loving our new place. I have been back and forth a bit at my mom's house getting things ready for them to come home from China this weekend. What an awesome week this is! I can't wait to see them again. For some reason my computer isn't reading my camera card so I can't upload any pictures, but I need to take more anyway, now that we are mostly settled. I will add them when I get it figured out.

Summer is Here

Oh my heck I absolutely love summertime. Except for really hot days. We have had a lot of fun this summer so far but I haven't taken very many pictures. Just not in the picture taking mood I guess.
This is Mckinley's FAVORITE outfit. She would wear it every day if she could.

We've been eating lots of popsicles.

Mckinley had so much fun last week pushing around her own little grocery cart around the store.

Every year in June we go to Concert in the Park on Sunday evenings down in Provo. I can't believe this is Mckinley's THIRD year going. I am totally weirded out by that. Just for fun, here she is at Concert in the Park over the last three years.

Cute smiles at just a month and three weeks old.

Pushing her stroller around everywhere at a year old.

Holding her hand over her heart at two years old. Man, she is growing up!

Yesterday was a super fun day. Mckinley's cousins came over for the afternoon.

Then we had a picnic at Nelson's Grove Park to say good bye to Brandon's brother Jordan and his wife Annie who are moving to Texas this week to go to Medical School. Oops, forgot to get a picture of Mckinley with Jordan and Annie. Darn. There are tons of baby ducks in the pond right now but those pictures are on Brandon's phone...
