Steph turns 40!

I have discovered and fallen in love with the path that runs along Utah Lake. So I decided for my birthday I wanted a big scooter that I could ride alongside the kids. It has been so much fun and such a good purchase!

So for my birthday we took a trip to St. George and it was absolutely epic! We did so much exploring and visiting new places we had never gone to. We had the time of our lives! Or at least I did. I do remember the kids complaining a little bit and just wanting to go swimming but the weather actually wasn't super warm so I kept trying to convince them that we were better off doing a little exploring and then going back to swim in the afternoon when it was a little warmer.

We drove out around Sand Hollow for the first time ever and it was gorgeous.

From there went to this house that has license plates from all 50 states on a pole. Ha ha, feeding my license plate addiction.

Randomly discovered a new park called Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park that was awesome and had turtles in the pond.

Went and checked out Dixie Rock for the first time and fell in love with it!

Went downtown and explored some more!

We saw a poster at the carousel that talked about a bird show that was happening in like 30 minutes so we rushed over to try to catch it but the room was full and it wasn't as cool as we thought, just a guy holding some falcons and hawks and talking about them. But we discovered this cool nature place that's right next to Thunder Junction Park.

So of course after that we hit up Thunder Junction for a bit. Didn't ride the train because the line was way too long.

Finally some swimming time! It was so chilly I didn't even get in.

Happy 40th to me!

Hit up Grandpa's pond and walked around it on the path. We saw a bunch of turtles in the water!

On Sunday we explored downtown Hurricane. The Pioneer Museum was closed but maybe another time we will hit it up.

In all our driving around we spotted this new temple that I had completely forgotten was ever announced so we drove as close as we could. It's still under construction.

The St. George temple is under construction as well.

We were able to take a tour of the St. George Tabernacle. Such a beautiful building! The tour was longer than we wanted, ha ha, but it was still fun.

Our ancestor Erastus Snow had a lot to do with the Tabernacle.

Back to the carousel!

We drove up by Quail Creek and couldn't believe how beautiful it was as well. One of these days we will definitely hit up one of these reservoirs!

Found another fun park right there in Hurricane. Seriously, I couldn't have asked for a better birthday trip. I loved every minute of it!!
