Brandon has been wanting to get us to Hawaii for years but I was always hesitant about bringing a baby on a plane ride that long. Well, now we have no babies so it was time to make it happen!
We wanted to go next summer but Brandon pulled up the schedule for his uncle's place and there were a couple of open weeks in October and flights were a good price so we booked it and made it happen! We weren't excited about missing Halloween, but that was the week that worked best.
Riding the shuttle to the airport from the parking lot.
We were so nervous about getting split up on the plane but they totally seated us together and it worked out great! The flight was actually quite enjoyable and went by so fast.
Landing down in Honolulu and they started playing Hawaiian music so Jackson started doing a luau dance to it and said "this is the perfect music."
We went straight to the resort and changed in the bathroom into swimsuits because we couldn't check in to the room yet.
Walked out to the beach, got sunscreen on, and pretty soon after that it poured on us, ha ha! There wasn't any rain forecasted for our trip but when we got there it was raining and rained on and off the first couple of days which was totally fine because it's still warm and the kids just swam through it.
We ended up being able to check in 3 hours early which was awesome. Headed off to Costco to get some food and enjoyed our first night in the resort. The place was so amazing!
After the kids went to bed Brando and I went on a little night walk along the beach and over to the Disney resort next door and ended up seeing some kids that were out with nets catching fish and crabs.
Blaine sent us these pictures of his place the day before we left. Before that we didn't even know what it was going to look like, but these pictures got us even more excited!!
