A Few New Looks

Yesterday thanks to my awesome friend Kristi I got glitter toes done again! She came with me and it was fun but the girl who did my nails did a really crappy job and I had to fix them later at home.

Meet Kristi.

Here I am in the process.

The final result (with quite a few personal touches).

Then later in the afternoon I went and got a cut and color. Let me guess. You're thinking holy crap, that is way too dark. Don't worry, we're on the same page. :) Here's to hoping it fades. And SOON.

We are heading to Phoenix, AZ in two days and will spend an entire WEEK there. I've never left work for a whole week and I'm a little nervous about it but hopefully I can tie up all the loose ends before tomorrow's over.
Here's to hoping the Arizona sunshine will lighten my hair and darken my skin!

The Rest of The Story

My birthday just got better and better! My two sweet sisters came and surprised me for lunch. They brought Cafe Rio with them and it was sooooo good. We ate outside in the sun in the perfect weather. I loved it!

.
I continued working but then was surprised when about an hour later, at 2:00, Brandon came in to my office and told me we were going to the movies. Nothing better than having your work day unexpectedly end 4 hours early!!! We saw Paul Blart (my choice). I've wanted to see it forever. It wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but I'm still glad I saw it.

.
The next surprise Brandon had was flowers for our front garden. If any of you know me, you know I have to do list and I go crazy until I get everything checked off. Well, the front garden was another thing that's been on my to do list since we moved in to our new house a year ago. Last summer Brandon created this nice little retaining wall but we have been wanting to buy some bushes and flowers.

.
So after the movie we planted these beautiful babies...

.
Later that evening we went to Brandon's soft ball game which they sadly lost by 1 point. I had to sit all alone which was sad on my birthday (Shannon and Shellee where were you?!!) but I survived.
.
When we got to the game I found out that Brandon had given our broken computer to his friend Tyler to fix for my birthday. It's been broken for months and months and it was something I really wanted for my birthday. I was so excited! Until we took it home and realized that our wedding pictures, my mission pictures, and all the pictures from our first 6 months of marriage were gone. That kind of sucked! But luckily I found out I had put all our wedding pictures on the lap top too so those are safe. And I think my sister has the mission pictures that were missing (I hope, otherwise I might be entitled to a trip to the Philippines to take new ones!!), and I think I printed a bunch of the pictures from our first 6 months (maybe that was inspired...). So I think we're okay.
.
Now we finally get to USE the computer desk we bought last October!

.
We ended off the night by getting Jamba Juice and taking it up to Provo Temple. I love sitting on a blanket above the temple at night and just looking at it all lit up.
.
Dallin and Shellee came over after that and we watched the Office and Shellee painted my nails with some sweet new nail polish she bought for me. They left after midnight and Brandon and I CRASHED in bed in about 5 seconds. It was such a good day! Thanks Bran for the best birthday I've ever had...so far. ;)

I'm Being Spoiled....And I Love It

Today I turned 27 and it has been the best day ever!!! And it's only 10:30 in the morning.
.
The celebrations started yesterday with dinner at my parents house. My mom always has me over for dinner for my birthday and she always makes the best food! We had roast and potatoes and a million other good things and best of all, the weather was SO nice we got to eat it out on the deck.

.
Here is the cutest gift ever that my mom gave me. A fruit basket! And a gift certificate to the mall. Which I'm sure I will use before the weekend is over. :)
.
My amazing Mom and Dad. The best parents anyone could ever ask for. We are going to miss them SO much while they're on their mission.
.
Now, for today's festivities. Brandon totally went all out and gave me the best surprise ever. This is what I saw when I stepped out of the shower this morning. He was so quiet, I didn't even hear him in there at all. He went to play basketball this morning and apparently made another stop as well, to get me FLOWERS. Which I LOVE. Then of course there is my favorite cereal, my favorite fruit snacks, my favorite Canadian Chocolate (Big Turks....mmmm), and even though this may not sound too cool to any of you, it was the best gift EVER, blinds to cover our back window! The door in our laundry room has a window and I hate going in there at night because there are no curtains, blinds, or anything to cover it up. So I am super excited to put those up.

.
After we got ready for the day he took me out to breakfast at my favorite place. Probably only Jessica and Kristi will fully appreciate this, but we ate breakfast this morning at the hospital cafeteria. Sooo stinking good. And there's more behind the story too, but honestly, Brandon couldn't have given me anything better for breakfast. It was perfect!!
.
When I walked into my office this morning, this is what I saw. My cute friend Jessica put up this banner and bought me balloons and a gift. Thanks Jess, you're the best!
.
I spent the first hour at work today replying to all the texts and emails people have sent me wishing me a happy birthday. Thank you so much everyone (especially you Bran) for making this the best birthday ever!!!!

Weekend Shots

Blake and Kim got married on Friday so we spent the day in Salt Lake. (Blake is one of Brandon's good friends for those of you who don't know.) Here they are coming out of the temple.

Brandon and Haley.

You HAVE to click on this one to make it bigger. It looks so real and I love it. Brandon took this picture of Lincoln and Haley.

First time I've been up on top of the Conference Center. It is so cool up there. There's a whole hidden world up there.

Ross being crazy... He has no idea I took this picture.
Our new Dodge Viper.

I also had a sleepover with my sisters on Saturday night. It was a ton of fun. Here's me an Heidi on the couch watching a movie.

Excuses

We are running a 5k in Phoenix in a few weeks and I really should be training for it but here is my excuse for not running:

I can't believe we have snow on April 16th!!! Makes me feel a little better that I'm stuck in my office all day.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

It was a good one. We did the usual stuff. Went to Brandon's parents' ward Easter party. They did a big easter egg hunt for the kids and then had an amazing breakfast. Then on Sunday we had our traditional easter egg hunt at Brandon's parents' house. We ended up with a gallon zip lock back full of chocolate. Yikes. Hope everyone had a good holiday.

Mission Reunion

Brandon finally came with me to my mission reunion for the 1st time ever! I loved it. The program went a little long, but it was so good to see my mission president and others that I haven't seen in at least a year or more. I even have proof that Brandon came!

With President and Sister Biddulph.

With Elder and Sister Hopkins.

With Ali and Camile.

Other than my reuion on Friday night, we had a good time lounging around all weekend watching conference and hanging out with our families. And eating way too much junk food.
