Park City Getaway

We were able to take a really fun short trip to Park City the Sunday after Thanksgiving. Ross booked a place for a week and our family went and stayed Sunday and Monday nights. The place was amazing as always and we had a blast.

All the kids wanted to do of course was swim, swim, swim. So that's what we did!

Brandon left on Monday and went to work so I was up there with the kids alone. They had some fun craft things we could go do and we spent time playing in the game room, and of course, more swimming!

The kids made little hideouts in the hotel and thought it was really fun to eat their lunch in there.

The place we stayed at was right on Main Street and we attempted a walk around but it was FREEZING so we didn't go too far.

By Tuesday the twins got up the courage to swim without their floaties! It was a major break through and so fun to watch them learn to swim on their own. Tyler is so daring and does flips into the water, even without floaties. We are excited to go swimming again soon and let them practice what they learned. We sure loves these Park City trips that give our kids the chance to swim a lot. There's nothing they would rather do more.

The pool was indoor/outdoor and it was so warm and so fun to swim outside, even when it was snowing out there. We were glad to be able to spend some time with Ross there.

Thanksgiving

Emily hosted us for Thanksgiving this year and it was so awesome. She had the place all decked out and it looked really festive and awesome.

Dinner was amazing and I continue to enjoy easy assignments like a jello salad and a store bought pie!

Mckinley called my mom before we left and begged her for the turkey drumstick. Ha ha. This girl is seriously obsessed with turkey.

After we ate we walked down the street to their school and played on the playground. The weather was phenomenal!!!

Kristen made these cute turkey cookies for everyone.

Ava took a short morning nap that day but it wasn't enough and she fell asleep in the car on the way home. I got to sit and hold her like this while the kids went hot tubbing at Jason and Shannon's with their cousins that evening. Such a great Thanksgiving day!

November Happenings

Mckinley has the best teacher at school. She does so much festive stuff. They did tons of Halloween and Thanksgiving crafts, and right now she has an elf that moves every day in her classroom. We are so glad we picked her!

Tyler loves Ava so much.

Ava loves carrying around purses. Anything with a handle she will turn into a purse. She gets them on her arm herself. She has done this since she was about 10 months old. It's so cute!

Brandon falls asleep pretty much every night while we watch TV. This particular night I think they all fell asleep before like 8:00. What the heck? Ha ha.

We sure enjoy the most beautiful view out our backyard with some spectacular sunsets. I absolutely love where we live!!

I found some selfies of Kallie on my phone that have me very worried about her teenage years. As if I wasn't already worried! She is full of sass and spice this one.

I went to see Mckinley at lunch one day and took a picture of her with her two good friends, Sarah and Jessica.

I had to take all the kids with me to Mckinley's dance one week when Brandon had a basketball game at the same time and it was hilarious watching Ava try over and over to climb up this big step. Ha ha ha.

The kids had a great time at Maverik's karate birthday party. Mav was such a spaz and this picture of him peeking while everyone was supposed to have their eyes closed shows perfectly his personality!

Mckinley is always creating something. Even out of cereal. She seriously can't stop. Her brain just goes a million miles a minute. She could craft all day long.

Mckinley's drawing of the nativity.

Ava with yet again another "purse" on her arm.

BYU Basketball Game

The kids got to make a hummer at Home Depot in honor of Veteran's Day. They had so much fun. We skip the paint and just do the stickers and keep things easy!

Cutie pie Ava eating a sucker.

We had an early Turkey dinner at my mom's since Bryant's family wouldn't be around for Thanksgiving. Mckinley ate her weight in turkey. I don't know another child that loves turkey as much as she does!

Kallie and Grandma.

After the dinner we got to go to Jason and Shannon's for a really fun magic show. All of the kids got turns helping out and they all thought it was really cool. His last trick of ripping up the newspaper was awesome!

Ava is obsessed with this white receiving blanket with butterflies on it. She has deemed it as her favorite and sucks her thumb anytime she sees it and has a hard time sleeping without it. I always struggle trying to wash it because it's hard for her to go without it for as long as it takes to wash and dry a load of laundry.

The kids LOVE playing on the toys at Walmart.

A falcon out on our back deck. We enjoyed watching this guy around our house for a while. I ended up going out a few days later to clean off the back deck and found a dead bat and a dead bird on our deck. Yuck! Not sure if this guy had anything to do with those or not.

Mckinley disguised her turkey this year as an owl. She was a little sad I convinced her to do this instead of the mummy she wanted to do.

We were lucky enough to take all of our kids to a BYU game. They had Bombay House for dinner before the game and it was absolutely amazing. We always love when we get to go sit in the front and have lots of treats.
