Ava starts Joy School

Jackson started doing this super cute trick and putting his leg in the air. He is so cute and we are all smitten with him.

First time in a long time going to a store for these two. Stupid Covid.

Michelle Whitaker invited us to go boating with their family at Deer Creek. This was our kids first time ever on a boat. I had a ton of anxiety about it before we went, but it ended up being a day of absolute fun! A big part of that was Karen offering to babysit Jackson, which she ended up doing for I think 6 hours! We were so grateful for that.

We went straight from there to the splash pad for Liam's birthday party.

Ava got to start Joy School! I got it set up with these cute girls and I was first to teach. Oh, what it does to my heart to teach Joy School. I love it so much. Like seriously it's my favorite thing ever. It has been so great!

Trip to St. George

We went to one week of school, and then took off to St. George. We had to be down there for an HOA meeting and we decided to make a vacation out of it. None of the other cousins came so it was just us, and we had a lot of fun. Other than Brandon working a bunch while we were there...

This trip was the trip of all trips and we will remember it forever. This is a cute girl named Sunny who was there on vacation with her family too. She was Ava's exact age and she was super daring in the pool. Which encouraged Ava to be brave too and Ava started swimming without her floaties! Seriously, it shocked us and she got sooo good at swimming!

The exercise room is super exciting for the kids and it's usually part of their plans that they make before our trips.

We stayed in the new unit that we had never seen before and we loved it!

The deck is just heavenly. We enjoyed watching a really cool lightning storm out there one night.

Back to School!

The kids got to return to school! Which is quite lucky during the global pandemic. A lot of other people had to do online learning or just a couple of half days a week at school and the rest at home. I feel so grateful that our kids were allowed to go back for 5 days a week, just 5 hours a day instead of 6 hours a day, which turns out is actually a really great schedule and we absolutely love it.

Before they went back, we finished out our summer with more fun. Lemonade stand with friends and cousins.

Lots of playing outside.

Picnic at Nielson's Grove.

Had to document the cuteness of his legs hanging out of his crib.

Before and after of Tyler's haircut.

And finally August 18th arrived! The kids were so excited to go back to school!

Picture out by the school of all the Salmon kids, including Hadlee who moved here from Seattle. (And Ava who wanted to be in the picture even though she has 2 more years to wait till it's her turn.)

After school I surprised the kids and took them to Airborne with Kristen's family. We brought Kiara along too.
