Girl's Camp!

Mckinley and I headed off to Girl's Camp June 20th through the 23rd. Our poor stake leaders had to scramble and plan a whole new camp in 6 days when Shalom cancelled on us. We went to the Old Pinery in Nephi and totally roughed it but we survived!

They had archery, axe throwing, a challenge course, a water slide, and more. We had lots of down time just relaxing and braiding hair. Kellie Eddy did all the food and it was so yummy. It was a lot of work. I didn't sleep a single wink the first night which totally ruined most of the next day for me but I recovered and by the end of it I was begging Becca to let me stay in and go next year with Kallie! Girl's Camp is the best!

Someone caught this cute lizard that was totally chill and Savvy Eddy ended up bringing it home with her!

Mckinley has the best group of girls her age.

Our hike was a super short walk up to a beautiful lookout. It really was gorgeous there.

I got the insomniac award, very fitting.

Mckinley got the Dad award for always wearing her fanny pack. The YCL's do the best job of giving out awards! Camp was so successful this year and just so beautiful.

Jam Packed June

Holy cow we really packed it in all June! The day after Brandon and I got back from Vegas, we went and hiked to the poppies again with Amy's family too this time. We were supposed to hike to Battlecreek Falls with the hiking group but Amy and Kristen thought it would be too hard with their littles so we did the poppies again and they were still beautiful.

After that we hit up the free swim day at Pleasant Grove pool for Strawberry Days. It actually wasn't terrible. And I took the kids to Purple Turtle after for strawberry ice cream. It was a great summer day!

Randomly ran into Harper and Hudson at the pool!

And Ellery who was there with Harper!

The next day (I think, might have been two days later) we went to This is the Place for a free day up there. It was a lot of fun and the weather was amazingly cold ish and overcast to start out. When it got hot later, we really appreciated the cooler weather we started with.

There is a ton to do there, we didn't even see half of it.

This horse had a little episode when a bigger girl got on it, and kind of fell onto its neck, it freaked out and ended up kicking Dani over to the ground. So sad!

Fun little train ride with beautiful views.

So fun to see these old buildings. Crazy to walk inside some of the tiny cabins that those pioneer families lived in.

This is a sight that makes me so happy! The kids have been reading and doing math this summer! I'm so proud of them. Mckinley reads all the time and can't find enough time to read her books, the others hate it and they hate me for making them do it, but I'm trying my best to not give up and keep having them do it! Trying to avoid a bad summer slide.

We got to serve at the Bishop's Storehouse with the Murri's and all these little cousins tagged along which was kind of a pain, but we got through it!

Kallie and Tyler went to Maple Dell for the day with activity days and missed out on the Bishop's Storehouse with us this time.

Another pond day!

We outlasted everyone else this time. I love being up there. Kayaking is so fun and it's so beautiful there.

My family did sealings in the temple as a Father's Day gift to my dad.

Back to Airborne and Navy got to come with us this time.
