Jackson's Birthday and the rest of May

Holy cow, I am way late updating this so I honestly don't remember much about Jackson's birthday. I can't even remember why his pancake picture is out in the kitchen and not in bed. But, little man is 3. Woot!

Donut tower for a birthday cake!

Gabby came for a visit and was here over Jackson's birthday, clearly. We went to Olive Garden to eat and our moms and sisters came too. It was fun to catch up!

The new water mat my mom got Jackson for his birthday.

The girls' dance recital was that weekend too. They all did so great and it was so fun watching them dance! I think there were two days of recitals if I remember right, Mckinley danced in 4 different numbers this time, Kallie and Ava each just had one dance. It was so much fun watching them!

Saying goodbye to Gabby with lunch at Pizza Factory! I had to show her that there are better places than Olive Garden to eat, ha ha.

We have so many pictures of Jackson sleeping! He is done with naps but still needs sleep so he crashes everywhere all the time. I love it.

Mckinley's 6th grade class, which she absolutely adored (she thrived so much in 6th grade and loved everything about it, especially her teacher, Mr. DeAdder) had a class party at Kiara's house that I got to help with. The stinking weather was freezing! But they each got to make pizzas in their outdoor pizza oven and then play in her sport court inside. No swimming.

Tyler was the 2nd fastest runner in his grade!

Mckinley and Tyler both played soccer this spring. Mckinley played on rec and it was her last chance to play, from now on she will be too old. Brandon coached her team and she improved so much!!!

Her team had a devastating loss to end their season. Some of the kids wouldn't even get in the picture and the two twin girls wouldn't even look at me for the picture! We had a party for them at our house later which they loved though. Brandon loves coaching so much!

Tyler and Kallie got two years with Mrs. Schulte (formerly Miss Davis). She is the best teacher on the planet and we just love her so much. Okay who am I kidding. All our teachers are the best teacher.

So. Many. Sleeping pictures.

Tyler's first year on a district team, they lost a lot of their games but man Tyler is so fast, how can you not love to watch him play? He is an amazing defender. He scored one goal this year that we of course missed because we came late to that game.

Mckinley had no idea (but we did!) that she was going to receive the Hope of America award at her 6th grade graduation. This girl is absolutely amazing.

6th grade graduation was long! But she was in heaven.

Her young women crew.

Look how stinking cute she is! All grown up and so mature on the last day of school.

Had to put a pic of Dr. Bailey on here. We love him so much!

Last day of school pics.

Last day of school slurpee tradition.

Love love love going down by the lake.

Mckinley's soccer team party. The kids were wild and crazy and in heaven!

Fun movie night with neighbors to kick off summer!

Mckinley turns 12

A few random things before we get into Mckinley's birthday.

Ava got to go to a fun painting craft at the BYU Museum of Art with Auri.

Then we took them to the Bean Museum for their first time.

The very next weekend after my birthday I went back down to Hurricane with my 6th ward friends for a girls trip. There was a bit of drama before the trip trying to figure out driving and stuff, but we got through it and got there and this is the only stinking picture we took, ha ha. It was fun though!

I got to help out with Tyler and Kallie's field trip to the Bean Museum. I feel bad they didn't get to go somewhere more exciting, they missed out on their second grade field trip that is usually to the aquarium because of Covid.

Dinners out on the deck are rare, but oh so fun.

The sun was so bright, ha ha.

Mckinley got to participate in the Hope of America program as a 6th grader because Covid cancelled it when she was in 5th grade. We had a good time watching her and she had soooo much fun doing it. Just stinks that she had to have a yellow shirt.

Ross had a hotel voucher that he needed to use so we went and stayed in Salt Lake and chalked it up to celebrating Mckinley's birthday which was the next day. We rode Trax to the Cheesecake Factory and had a delicious dinner. It was so fun to eat outside.

The hotel pool was as small as they come but the kids still enjoyed themselves!

We brought all of Mckinley's birthday presents (mostly clothes, and a gel nail set) with us and she got to open them there.

The evening of Mckinley's actual birthday she and I both performed in our luau fundraiser the youth put on for our ward. We worked on these dances for like 5 months and pretty much couldn't do any other activities which sucked, but the luau was actually pretty fun and miracle of all miracles, we had good weather for it. Every time our ward plans something, we have crazy summer rain storms and planning this on May 7th was definitely very risky, but it all worked out!

Since we were at the hotel the morning of her birthday, Mckinley got a combined breakfast in bed with me, who was getting breakfast in bed for Mother's Day, ha ha. It was great!

Birthday cake brownies at Grandpa and Marmee's where we had a Mother's Day dinner.

A random BYU baseball game we went to with the Salmons.
