4th of July

This 4th of July was epic! Annie came in to town on Monday and the entire week was jam packed full of fun.

Some more 4th of July crafts I did with the kids.

A fun fort the kids made under the pool table.

Tuesday morning we woke up early and went to see the balloons. Unfortunately they couldn't take off that day, but it was still fun to see them get blown up. It was way more crowded than previous years and we are thinking next year we might take a break from this tradition.

After the balloons Annie and I took the kids to a trampoline jump place called Airborne in Pleasant Grove. The kids had a great time but weren't sure if they liked this place or Hangtime better. Hangtime is geared more towards little kids where this place had a lot of areas with height restrictions that our kids didn't meet.

Home for naps and then off to go bowling with the whole family! Always an adventure.

After bowling we had dinner at Wendy's and then headed to Brandon's parents house to camp out in the backyard. Kristen let us borrow this luxury tent that made it a lot of fun.

On the morning of the 4th we skipped the parade for the first time in forever, and went on a little hike to Dripping Rock. Total disappointment, but at least now we know.

Back to Ross and Karen's for naps and then it was an afternoon of water fun in the backyard, dutch oven and smoked meat dinner, and lots of visiting. We had such a great time.

Ross took the grand kids outside to play baptism and was pretending to squirt them with the water gun instead of a spray bottle. We had a good laugh watching him from inside.

Fireworks in the church parking lot that night, and home to our own beds again! It was a fun filled 4th and very exhausting. In the best way.
