Got there in the evening just in time for a night swim.
The next day we headed into town to try to hit up Dixie Rock. We had no idea, but it was the St. George Ironman that weekend and everything was shut down and we couldn't get anywhere!
I wanted to introduce the family to Judd's, the candy store. But of course it was closed too. We watched the runners for a few minutes and just headed back to Hurricane.
Costa Vida for lunch. Jackson and Tyler love their plain tortillas. Geez, these picky eater boys.
This was a trip full of swimming!
I can't believe how many fun sleeping pictures of Jackson we have. We went to Walmart to get some things for a fun BBQ for Mckinley's birthday the next day on Sunday, and Jackson fell asleep in the cart right on the watermelon! This one is probably my top favorite of all of his sleeping pictures.
Pizza for dinner.
Sunday morning we made pancakes for Mckinley for breakfast. This might be the first time she didn't get breakfast in bed. Or at least a make up breakfast in bed after we got home. I know we did that one year.
She got an apple watch for her birthday.
We grilled some hot dogs by the pool on Sunday. It is always so fun using the BBQs at the pool.
We bought a little birthday cake at Walmart and it was perfect and so yummy!
We tried again for Dixie Rock on Monday.
Mckinley, Tyler and I made it through the slot canyon although Mckinley regretted it after and wished she didn't go.
Ava and Kallie got brave enough to walk up just a little way before turning around and heading back.
These two were such cute helpers taking the cooler out to the car to leave. We did make it to Judd's and got some candy and breadsticks. This was a pretty low key trip though, mostly just swimming and hanging out. Always a good time in Hurricane!
