Grandma and Grandpa Bishop came over the day before Ava's birthday. She was so excited about the blanket Grandma made for her and then they all played Encanto Uno together that they gave her.
Early morning again celebrating a birthday before school but we survived! Ava was so happy with all of her presents.
Big 7 year old!!
Her birthday fell on a Thursday which is the day I go volunteer at the school so I saw her quite a few times that day and she had a little bit of a rough day, first hurting her finger, and then crying again because she missed a word on a spelling test for the first time. I tried to hang out with her for lunch but she told me to go home. Ha ha.
Since we didn't get to go to Classic for Tyler and Kallie's birthday, we convinced Ava to go there for hers. Grandpa Salmon had free passes for us to use. The kids had a blast!
Then off to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. Ava really wanted to go somewhere were they make a big deal for your birthday. The saddle ride was probably not exactly what she wanted but she was a good sport and sat on it while they yelled for her birthday.
Saw this incredible sunset on the drive home from dinner.
Home for brownies. I'm so glad she was happy to have brownies instead of the dolphin cake she had been wanting me to make for her, lol.
The day after her birthday Ava got to go to Wilkerson's Farm (a pumpkin patch) for a field trip. She had a great time!
Tyler and Kallie's awesome teacher Mrs. Warner who they love to death, came to Tyler's last football game. Tyler loved flag football so much. He actually skipped his soccer game so he could go to this football game.
Ava was so excited to see Miss Bethany there, who came to watch Hudson play. What an amazing team of 5th grade teachers we have at our school! Miss Bethany was the helper in Mrs. Brown's class for half of the year last year and Ava just loves her. Now she is Mrs. Hays and teaches 5th grade but she told me she wants to move down to a lower grade so hopefully Ava will be able to have her sometime! She has actually been a huge help to Ava this year with her anxiety at school.
Tyler did so great and got a lot of pulls in flag football.
Tyler's last soccer game. He is the best at throwing in so they always have him do it.
I love watching him play!
Took Kallie and Ava to Riverwoods to snatch some free pumpkins that Megan told us about.
Mckinley is loving her sewing class at school!
Just had to post this on here. These are both from 8th grade. Mckinley's braces came off after picture day so she did retakes and by then she had decided to embrace her curly hair. She is just so beautiful!
A fun night at Wilkerson's Farm for young womens.
My mom invited us all over for haunted gingerbread houses since we missed going to the cabin. They went to the cabin on Ava's birthday and that weekend was Tyler's last football game so we didn't go.
So good of my mom to put in so much work for the kids to do these!
After her house we had to go check out the new playground at Heritage Park in Cedar Hills. It was such a beautiful day and so much fun!
Mckinley painted that sunset we saw on the way home from Texas Roadhouse and submitted it for reflections. She is so talented!!
Tyler and Kallie got to go with Sophie to The Rush at the University Mall over Fall Break.
Brandon and I took the rest of the kids to Raising Cane's while they were gone.
Ava's best friend Harper got a new little brother and we were able to meet him before we headed out the next day to St. George.
