After Cabo we had another day at sea. This was the day where they put towel animals (and even blanket animals ha ha) out everywhere on the pool deck. Always fun to see.
It was actually quite cold and windy out on the ocean that day. So windy in fact, that they never opened the ropes course or the sky ride, which was kind of a bummer.
Still, I mean there's not much to complain about when being on vacation!
We went to the towel folding class.
Brandon double fisting it with ice cream cones, lol.
The kids loved the towel animals in our room each day.
Squeezing into the hot tub. :)
We weren't really planning on doing the restaurant again, but when I checked the menu and saw that they had lobster tail, Brandon was like um yeah, we're for sure going. So we dressed up again since it was another fancy night, and actually had a really great experience this time in the restaurant.
The kids were all so adventurous with their eating. Tyler tried lobster, the girls always try all sorts of things. We had crawfish, escargot, lobster, salmon, steak, lamb, duck, chicken cordon bleu, shrimp, and all sorts of other things on the boat.
They had creme brulee for dessert this night too. So yummy!
Since this was technically Brandon's 40th birthday celebration, we decorated a little in the room. I brought a big blow up sign but forgot a straw and would you believe, they don't have regular straws on the boat, only candy straws. So we never got that sign blown up. We did have some room credit to blow so we bought some candy from the cherry on top shop which was super fun, and some yummy smoothies.
The last day of our cruise was in Ensenada. We ended up taking a tour out to La Bufadora, the blowhole. We had never done it before and I'm glad we did. It was actually really fun!
The weather on the sea had been pretty rough so we thought it might blow up a decent amount and it did. It was fun to see.
Beautiful views. The weather was pretty good! Slightly chilly but mostly it felt so good!
The best part of the blow hole trip was the food! Brandon bought these grilled clams that were absolutely delicious!
Just a cute random colorful building.
We got fresh churros that were so good!
And chicken and steak tacos from Lidia's. They were so yummy we went back for more!
We bought toys and bracelets for everyone up by the blow hole except for Kallie so we walked a street over to the main downtown street. It's always so fun listening to the guys try to pull us into their shops.
Kallie found her perfect bracelet she was searching for.
Took a picture by the same stop sign we took one by last year.
Back on the boat for more ice cream!
I got to do the ropes course finally and Kallie rode the sky ride.
We waited in line for an hour for it! It was the last chance and I'm so glad she did it. She was really scared of it before that.
So much fun having connecting rooms and these kids just loved hanging out and chilling and watching movies.
Love those ocean sunsets.
For our last night we went and grabbed food at the buffet and brought it to the outdoor theater and ate while we watched Gran Turismo. It was such a great ending to our wonderful week on the boat! I was worried about going on such a long cruise, which is why we picked the 6 night instead of 7 night, but I definitely could have done with one more day and next time I think we will definitely pick the 7 night cruise! This vacation was SO MUCH FUN!!
We had our fair share of fighting, whining, complaining, etc. too but man we made some great memories and I just keep saying, take me back!
Heading off the ship. We didn't book an early departure time but Brandon just walked right through with the priority debarking and I'm glad he did because we drove straight home and the last hour we were driving through a scary snowstorm so I'm glad it wasn't more than that of driving in the snow. Such a fabulous trip! I have so many awesome videos of the whales.
